2021 Calling all STALL HOLDERS

If you are interested in hosting a stall at the 2021 Sarau festival, get in quick. Spots are limited. Please fill out the online form below:

PLEASE READ

  1. We’re delighted that you’d like to join us – and if you’re a regular, welcome back! We’re a community festival that’s been going for 14 years, run entirely by volunteers with any profit going to fund things that make our community special.
  2. We’re all about reducing waste and rubbish. Please use compostable materials, no single use plastic bags.
  3. We’ve a limited number of "premium sites" near the stage. First reservations in, first served.
  4. A maximum of 2 passes will be allocated to your stall. Festival entry ($6) must be paid for all other helpers. Anyone entering the festival after 2pm will be charged this admission fee. (Even our volunteers pay the entry fee.)
  5. All sites are 3m x 4m. If you are larger than this, please pay for two sites.
  6. Venue is the Moutere Hills Community Centre and grounds, and we’re ready to welcome you to set up from 11am.
  7. Vehicles will need to be parked in the stall holder’s car park by 2pm. There are a few stalls where you can park alongside your stall – but the downside of these is that you can’t move your vehicle until the festival has finished (approx. 9.30pm), it’s too risky navigating vehicles in fading light with kids and adults partying.
  8. Please indicate in the comments below if you would like the same site as last year. For those that come last year the layout will be similar but not identical – we’re working on it. We can’t promise to meet your requests, but will try!
  9. In these COVID-19 times we’ll only go ahead if the South Island’s in Level 1. If we can’t go ahead we’ll refund the registration fees you’ve paid us.
  10. We have a limited number of "powered sites". There’s a maximum 15 amps per power outlet. If you tell us you need power we will contact you for a list of EVERY appliance you intend to use, which all need to have been tagged and tested by an electrician. Caravan users will need to show their electrical certificate if requested. If you can’t meet these conditions then we’ll need to pull the plug on your power. It’s all about fire safety and smooth running. Experience tells us that if you exceed the 15 amps per power outlet you will trip the circuit, cutting power to fellow stall holders and the sound system for the band – bad for the vibe and the sort of thing that makes our volunteer electricians twitch.
