    What is happening at Sarau Festival in 2011?

    Entertainment from:  Groove Collective, Hi Strung and the Japanese Taiko drummers, and others….
    Food, wine, beers, juices, ice creams and more to sample and enjoy….
    The Sujon bike ride – starting and finishing at the Festival – traversing 25 km through local farms, vineyards, hop, boysenberry, blackcurrant and raspberry gardens…..
    The softer, gentler Gentle Cycle Company ridepurely for pleasure….
    A garden art competition – make something and bring it along….
    Pen a limerick, short story or poem and bring it along for the competition (think about our locale and blackcurrants when doing so (and if you are school age, include your age) …
    Enter your favourite blackcurrant recipe in the Barkers of Geraldine cooking competitions…
    Learn how to carve Oamaru Stone with local artist Sharyn Tasker….
    Spend time exploring the history of the Moutere Valley in the Moutere Inn history tent…
    Guest chef Miles Drewery will share his magic blackcurrant recipes….
    Support artisans and craftspeople….
    Purchase local blackcurrants and boysenberries….
    Play on the NBS inflatable (fund raiser for the Upper Moutere Youth Group)….
    Sample new blackcurrant recipes and find out about the health giving properties of this wonder fruit at the Blackcurrant Cooperative’s marquee…
    Our secondhand book stall featuring children’s books – bring them along on Saturday please…
    And of course wander about, meet your friends, make new friends, listen to music and relax right here in the Moutere!
